The lethal car accident that involved the Unnano rape victim has raised a fresh series of suspicion and foul play. For everyone it seems that the rape survivor’s car accident can’t just be a coincidence and somewhere the gruesome conspiracy of trying to eradicate the rape victim is taking place.
As per the report of one of the leading news journals – India Today, the Unnao Sources in the Central Bureau of Investigation have revealed that just a few days prior to meeting with the deadly car crash, the Unnao rape victim had asked the agency to shift the case against the accused former BJP MLA to Delhi.
The news journal has recently come to know that the officials had guided the survivor about the required procedures for transferring the trial in a judicial process.
The Central Bureau of Investigation has even collected details from the Uttar Pradesh Police in connection with the car accident. Sources have also told the media that the agency is closely monitoring the UP Police’s investigations closely as the critical woman is the star witness in the rape case against former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar.
The fatal car accident took place on Sunday when the rape survivor was travelling in a car along with her family. The car collided with an over-speeding truck in Rae Bareli. Two family members of the rape survivor succumbed in the crash, the rape survivor is critical, battling for her life in a hospital.
The UP Police has been able to track down the speeding truck that was involved in the accident to Fatehpur, and truck driver is being questioned to find out, if there was any conspiracy behind the accident.
So far, the proceeding of the Unnao rape case after the CBI took over the case is as following:
CBI took over the Unnao rape case in April 2018.
Three cases were filed:
1. Sexual assault of minor
2. Assault and death of rape survivor’s father
3. Cross-complaint filed by the accused former MLA’s brother of assault allegedly by the rape survivor’s relative.
Two chargesheets have been also filed by CBI in these cases.
The primary case was filed when the rape survivor said that she was sexually assaulted by BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in June 2017.
The rape victim’s father was booked under the Arms Act on April 3, 2018. Two days later, he was sent to judicial custodial. The girl, who was then a minor, tried to commit suicide outside UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s residence in Lucknow on 8th August, 2018, while demanding justice for her father. The next day, her father died as a result of being severely injured when he was still in jail.
There are many twists and turns in the case, which involves the rape survivor, her family members, the former BJP MLA and his family members seems to be getting complex over the time. The girl’s family members were also accused of falsely claiming that she is a “minor”, while her family had lodged a separate complaint with the UP Police that she was abducted and sexually assaulted again.
Unnao rape survivor had asked to move the case to Delhi and was following the procedure just days before she and her family met with the deadly car accident.
