Hyundai Motor India is all set to launch the new Aura compact sedan on January 21. The bookings for Hyundai Aura have also started and you can book one for yourself through the official Hyundai website or a Hyundai dealership on payment of Rs 10,000.
Unveiled in India on December 19, Hyundai Aura comes with three BS6 engine options — 1.0-litre Turbo GDi petrol (100 PS and 172 Nm of torque), 1.2-litre MPI petrol (83 PS and 114 Nm of torque) and 1.2-litre Ecotorq diesel (75 PS and 190 Nm of torque). All the three engines get a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines have an automatic option as well.
Hyundai Aura is equipped with features like satin grille, projector headlamps, twin Boomerang-shaped DRLs, LED tail lamps and 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. It also gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 5.3-inch digital speedometer and MID. Also available are features like air curtain, wireless charger, eco coating, leather-wrapped gear knob, driver rearview monitor and emergency stop signal.
The new Aura is 3,995 mm long, 1,680 mm wide and 1,520 mm high. Its wheelbase measures 2,450 mm. The boot has 402 litres of space. Under the ‘Wonder Warranty’, Hyundai Aura will come with as many as three warranty options — 3 years/1 lakh km, 4 years/50,000 km and 5 years /40,000 km along with road-side assistance.
Expectations are that Hyundai Aura will be priced between Rs 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom). The Aura will rival against Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze.
