You can add, update your email ID in Aadhaar without submitting any document. To update the email ID, you just have to go to Aadhaar Sewa Kendra with your Aadhaar card. There will be no need to provide any document for this. Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI)

UIDAI said in a tweet, “No document required to update/add email ID to your Aadhaar. You get alerts related to your Aadhaar on this email ID. Just carry your Aadhaar to any nearby Aadhaar Kendra & place an update request.” Note that you will be charged Rs 50 for updating the email ID in the Aadhaar card. It takes Rs 50 to update the details like name, address, gender, mobile number in Aadhaar.
It is worth mentioning that in addition to enrollment for new Aadhaar, Aadhaar Centers or sewa kendras offer the facility to update name, address, mobile number, email ID, date of birth, gender and biometrics.
Rules for changing name, address and date of birth in Aadhaar:
UIDAI has released a list of documents required for changing the name, address and date of birth in Aadhaar. According to UIDAI, 32 documents will be accepted for change of name. At the same time, 45 documents will be accepted for change of address and 15 for changing the date of birth in Aadhaar.
UIDAI website now also has a chatbot to answer all questions related to Aadhaar. When you click on the Ask Aadhaar chatbot icon, a message is displayed saying, “Greetings!! I am here to help you in getting the right information on your queries related to Aadhaar. Ask me anything about Aadhaar Where to enroll? How to update? How to download Aadhaar? what is Offline ekyc? etc. Type your queries in the input field and click on the ‘Send’ button”
The chatbot will answer your queries, and provide you with useful links. For instance, when asked “Password of downloaded eaadhaar”, it replied, “Downloaded Aadhaar file is password-protected, and to open the file use, Combination of the first 4 letters of the name in CAPITAL and the year of birth (YYYY) as password. Validate the digital signatures on downloaded e-Aadhaar.
