New Delhi: PAN-Aadhaar Link: State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest public sector bank, has alerted its customers. The bank has given notice to its account holders to link PAN-Aadhaar card before 31 March 2022. The bank has said that if customers do not do this then their banking service may be stopped. SBI has also tweeted for this.

In the tweet, SBI has said, ‘We advise our customers to link their PAN with Aadhaar to avoid any inconvenience and enjoy uninterrupted banking service. The bank said that the customers should get the PAN and Aadhaar linked on time so that they will be able to avoid any inconvenience.
Let us inform that in view of the corona virus epidemic, the deadline for linking PAN with Aadhaar has been extended from 30 September 2021 to 31 March 2022. SBI had earlier tweeted that we advise our customers to link their PAN with Aadhaar to avoid any inconvenience and continue to enjoy an uninterrupted banking service. Along with this, the bank said that it is mandatory to link PAN with Aadhaar. If PAN and Aadhaar are not linked, PAN will become inactive and PAN cannot be used for carrying out specified transactions.
How to link PAN-Aadhaar card
First way
1- First you go to the official website of Income Tax https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home
2- Here on the left side you will see the option of Link Aadhaar, click on it
3- A new page will open, where you have to fill PAN, AADHAAR and your name as mentioned in Aadhaar
4- If you have only year of birth in your Aadhar card, then tick the box of ‘I have only year of birth in aadhaar card’
5- Enter captcha code or tick for OTP
6- Click on the link Aadhaar button, you have just got PAN and Aadhaar link
Second way
- You can also link PAN and Aadhaar through SMS
- In the message box of the mobile, type – UIDPAN<12-digit Aadhaar><10-digit PAN>
- Send this message to 567678 or 56161, that’s it
