South Korean tech giant, Samsung, has been at the forefront of innovation in technology for a quite a few years now and has launched a number of products that have brought generational leaps in technologies to many segments in the consumer tech market.
And now, the company is widely tipped to launch what could be the world’s first truly bezel-less TV at CES 2020. While the rumoured launch for the device is only a few days away, the first alleged renders of the 8K frameless TV have surfaced on the web.
As per the leak, the renders are part of the marketing material for Samsung’s 8K frameless TV. The renders show a device with no bezels on the side or the top of the device. However, there does appear to be a really thin chin at the bottom. The renders also appear to hint at a No-Gap-Wallmount design for the TV.
A report by The Elec also claims that Samsung’s truly-bezel less TV which is scheduled to be launched in Las Vegas next week will resemble its existing high-end TVs that feature displays whose size are 65-inches and above. After unveiling the TV at CES 2020, Samsung is expected to start the mass production of its bezel-less TV in February 2020.
As for the leaked renders, they come courtesy of Germany-based 4KFilme, who also suggests that Samsung’s bezel-less 8K TV will share design elements with the company’s The Wall TV. The report further goes on to add that Samsung might officially debut the bezel-less TV under the Q900T or Q950T name.
The report also adds that the world’s first truly bezel-less 8K TV from Samsung will also sport the in-house One Connect Box design that sees the TV come built in with a media receiver and a TV tuner to support the “One Connect” function on the company’s high-end TVs. Apart from this, the company is also tipped to launch a number of other TVs at CES 2020 where the company is rumoured to also bring a few 4K TVs alongside the highly anticipated truly bezel-less 8K TV.
