Audi will launch its flagship SUV — the Q8 — in India today. The new Audi Q8 will add more teeth to the carmaker’s SUV line-up in India that currently includes Q3, Q5 and Q7. The Q8 will arrive in India as a CBU unit. Audi Q8 will combine the luxury quotient of a four-door coupe and an SUV. We are expecting the Q8 to be priced around Rs 1.30 crore (ex-showroom).
Audi Q8 Engine
Powering the Q8 will be a 3.0-litre TFSI petrol engine that will produce 335 hp and 369 Nm of torque. The engine will be offered with an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. It will get the Quattro all-wheel drive as well. However, there will be no diesel variant in Audi Q8 in India.
Audi Q8 Specifications
The Q8 is wider than the Q7 but lower and shorter than the latter. It gets a 605 litre-boot. There are standard 21-inch alloys, with an option for 22-inch alloys.
Audi Q8 Features
Audi Q8 will get features like Audi Spaceframe grille, LED headlights, LED turn indicators, LED taillights, roof rails and tailgate roof spoiler. Inside the cabin, one will come across features like twin vertically stacked displays (10.1-inch upper and 8.6-inch lower), 12.3-inch full-HD display instrument console, multifunction steering wheel, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering column, Audi smartphone interface with Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatibility, panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting.
