While they are fighting with the pandemic as frontline warriors it’s our duty to respect and honor them. And doing so IndiGo has decided to pay tribute to the doctors and nurses by offering a special 25% discount on ticket bookings till the end of this year. The announcement was made on National Doctor’s Day on July 1st.
“The nurses and doctors will be required to provide valid hospital IDs at the time of check-in as proof of their identity. The discount will be offered while booking through IndiGo”s website, valid for sale and travel from July 01, 2020, till December 31, 2020“, read a press release from the airline.
The scheme has been named as “Tough Cookie” campaign. “As part of the initiative, IndiGo will track the Tough Cookie journey to make it special every step of the way, starting from a complementary cookie tin at check-in, welcome announcement at the boarding gate, special Tough Cookie sticker on the PPE and in-flight announcement giving them a warm welcome on-board”, said IndiGo.

While the International flight operations are suspended the offer would be on the domestic flights for now. Meanwhile, the passenger load continues to be low in domestic flights, which resumed on May 25 after 2 months closure. The reason behind this is exected to be the peaking of COVID-19 cases in the country.
