Tech giant Apple has been highly aggressive on its new product launch recently. The company launched new AirPad tablets, new iMac PCs and the new second generation AirPods earphones, all back to back in the past week. And now, there are high speculations about the company bracing up to bring in its AirPower wireless charging mats.

The AirPower has been one of the most awaited products from the house of Apple. While recently the tech major has removed hints about the AirPower from its official website, fresh rumours have started about Apple securing the trademark rights for the AirPower.

The reason why the Apple AirPower’s arrival got delayed is some trademark tiffs between Apple and a tech company named Advanced Access Technologies. Last year, when Apple had applied to get the trademark rights for the AirPower name, it found out that Advanced Access Technologies has filed for the same name before it.

The trademark was registered by Advanced Access Technologies and was published for opposition in December last year. Apple only raised its objection against the trademark in January this year, stating that the name AirPower from another company will create customer confusion who might think it is an Apple product given so many Apple products and beginning with the word ‘Air’, such as AirPods, AirPlay, AirPrint and AirPort.

After fighting with Advanced Access Technologies over the trademark issue, Apple suddenly withdrew its objection in 21st of March. This sudden withdrawal of the iPhone maker has made the rumour mills turn very fast again, as it is believed that Apple has bought the trademark rights for the ‘AirPower’ from Advanced Access Technologies. However, it is good to mention that the name is still listed under Advanced Access Technologies, but as speculations the Cupertino based tech giant is still acquiring it and the process is currently in progress.

These speculation go hand in hand with a recent report which said that Apple has given a green signal for the production of the AirPower. Moreover, although recently all words and images linked to the AirPower was cleaned from Apple’s website, recently again an image of the AirPower next to an iPhone XS appeared on the company’s Australian website source code. This only means that the Apple AirPower is soon going to make its way to the market, and we sure hope so.
